New books set in the Mormon world

Murder, mayhem, suspense, thrills, Mormons, romance… What more can you ask? Especially with a Mormon presidential candidate on the ticket….

Latter Day Secrets

Carly Jacobsen has a secret… or two…or three, and someone is willing to kill her to make her keep it. Her only hope is the son of a Mormon lawyer and general authority, who runs his own security consulting firm. Brig Jackson is sent down to her home to make Carly an offer for a Mormon artifact she owns, but what does he really want? How much does he really know?

With assaults on her life coming from every angle, she is forced to put her life in Brig Jackson’s hands. And he has to trust her. But can they do it? Should they?

And will what they find at the end shatter the beliefs of the Mormon faithful? Some secrets are meant to kept, at least in the eyes of killers.

Killer Instincts

A woman with implicit faith in the teachings of her Mormon religion, Cassie Clark finds her sheltered world decimated when her loving husband and two young children are killed in a fiery automobile accident. She is thrown free of the wreck, but critically injured. As she heals, she is torn between the relief she feels knowing her children are in the Celestial Kingdom with her husband, awaiting her eventual return to them, and intense anger at God for destroying her life and her family. She is forced to come to terms with her estranged mother, reconcile her now cold and distant in-laws, and worst of all, visions that seem to replay the accident. When they take a different course, she is forced to turn to Raymond Nez, a member of the Navajo Nation and tribal police, and Cassie’s childhood sweetheart. Cassie’s visions take her into the fourth world, where danger lurks, and she may not come out whole, if she comes out at all.
