A fair amount of the comments I get here on the old Trapped blog make me go, “huh what?” Yeah, pretty much like that. I blog about my culture, The Mormon Culture, and from the “ex” side of it, I find myself surrounded by the fringe Mormons, angry ex-Mormons, new age post-Mormons, really cool former Mormons, and lunatics like Joyce McKinney.
This blog has never been about HEALING. I am not a counselor.
This blog has never been about solving other people’s problems. I have Meniere’s disease. Some days I can’t even walk straight.
This blog has NEVER been about hurting other people. However, if you are a jackass, and act like a jackass, publicly, it’s not really my fault. If I just so happen to point out that you are a JACKASS, that’s your fault for being a JACKASS, right?
Equally so, if you come to MY BLOG and act like a JACKASS, and I proceed to skewer you, that again is not really me being mean. I mean, I did not come to YOUR BLOG or YOUR HOUSE and skewer you. You came here.
This, however, does not hold true of the stories I tell of my family and friends on the blog. They didn’t really ASK to be mentioned on this blog, just because they happen to be a part of my life. And sometimes, that’s not fair.
And yet, some stories just have to be told. It’s just THAT IMPORTANT to me that they get out there. Yes, you DO need to know about RubySue and her church shoes. These are questions that NEED To be answered.
And so, I blog.
