I’ve had several more email exchanges with my friend Laura, and quite frankly, I’m starting to see her point. No, no, don’t get worried. I won’t be building Santa Claus out of an old Clorox bottle at Relief Society anytime soon. What I mean is, she has been TAUGHT her whole life that she has the only true thing. So when I question it, OF COURSE she is going to respond with arrogance and absolute belief.
She says she knows, without any shadow of any doubt, that THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE THING. Why would she listen to me?
Of course Natalie!!! I know that I am convinced that I am right! That IS the whole point in having a testimony, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that God lives, that our church and it’s teachings are true, that I am a child of God sent to Earth to go through trials and be tested, to strive everyday to follow God’s commandments. If I wasn’t convinced that I am right, I would stop going to church, stop praying and reading my scriptures, quit doing my calling, etc. etc. What would be the point if I wasn’t sure I am right?
Hmm. Interesting point. My response to her?
“So why is it I am not allowed to be convinced I am right, also?”

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have gas, but when I try to share, people give me the weirdest looks. Why can’t people except my gas or just walk away without saying anything? It’s just rude.
