Oh and that Pat Robertson? Just call me the ULTIMATE PANTYWAIST

God has just told me there is going to be a flood. A BIG flood. HUGE. GINORMOUS. Well, maybe HUGE. BIG. Pretty big. Possibly. Tomorrow. Or the next day. It could happen. Unless it doesn’t. I mean, if I got the WORD right, which of course I might not have, because, sometimes GOD mumbles, ya know. Maybe. Maybe it wasn’t God at all. Maybe it was TOM CRUISE. But I thought I’d warn you, all the same.

Here I sit smack dab in the middle of the Oregon Coast thinking….hmmmm isn’t Pat Robertson the one that had to raise the 4 million dollars or suffer smiteing at the hand of God? Oh, wait that was Oral Roberts… is there a difference? Surfs UP!

I have tried to refrain from posting this–not being my blog and all that–but I can’t. So, Natalie, please feel free to smite this comment if you feel the need.

If God were the kind of being Mr P. Robertson ‘channels,’ then Mr. P. Robertson and whole slew of his ilk would not be around polluting the Earth.

    Just saying.

LOL, to both Cele and azteclady.

After the Indian Ocean tsunami, there has been a number of reports about other possible tsunamis. People have been looking at the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. This island off Africa has a volcano. The western flank of the volcano has a nasty fault line in it. Were the fissure to break in a single cataclysmic episode, it would cause a tsunami worse than the Indian Ocean tsunami … which would affect the Eastern U.S. (MSNBC Report). This possible potential tsunami has been on Nova as well. I think scientists know about other possible areas that could suffer a tsunami. A meteor strike in an ocean would also cause a tsunami. Apparently, these things are commoner than people would like to think. The chance of a tsunami hitting the East Coast this year is higher than the chance that I would win the lottery.

Scientists think that the chance of the East Coast getting hit by a tsunami in the next thousand years is extremely high. It is extremely silly that we build all of our major cities along the coast.

So we have something real that religious kooks can make predictions about.

It is much more interesting than the end of the world predictions that kooks liked to predict in the 1800s.

    I don’t get him…that’s about all I can say.

Will God smite him for being a “false prophet” if his “prophecies” do not happen?
